Day 1.
Excitement and nervous anticipation - you have signed the contract and are eagerly awaiting the arrival of your business in a box, you are so excited you brain dump everything you know about the business (which at this point isn’t very much or very accurate) and what you are going to say to every Tom, Dick and Harry that you bump into.
Day 2.
You panic that people are not responding to your messages, why do other people not get how amazing this opportunity is? Why is everyone I know not signing up to join my new business?
Day 3.
Your box arrives and you get excited about trialling all these lovely new products and open everything and put them in place around the home - placing them in the best spots for others to see when they come round.
Day 4.
I can’t do this, I have spoken to 5 people about the business and not one of them is joining
Day 5.
Your first sale, finally your Mum takes pity on you and decides to buy some products, you manage to upsell - well it is your Mum, and Dad needs some products too!!
Day 6.
You plan a launch party, lots of people say they will come - then you realise you don’t know enough about the products to talk about them sensibly to all your friends and family - aarrgghh!
Day 7.
Your sponsor to the rescue - Phew! You don’t need to know everything about the products as your sponsor will do all the talking for you at the launch party.
Day 8.
You get your first recruit- hurrah! This is finally going to work!
Day 9.
Your first recruit changes their mind - it is a scam and they don’t have enough time to give the business.
Day 10.
Launch party day - only your Mum and partner attends the party - it was an amazing launch as all those bottles of Prosecco you bought had to be drunk regardless - right?
Day 11.
Your sponsor says put together some trial packs for your friends and family so they can try before they buy - BUT I love the products and I used them all…… I can’t afford to buy more….. what do I do?
Network Marketing is a huge, never ending, Roller Coaster ride! The above gives you an idea of the first few days, but in all honesty the highs and lows will continue throughout your journey. But through the highs and lows you will be developing the necessary skills to get through it all and the support you will get from the people above, below and to your side in the company will be second to none. Just take a look at my article “10 reasons to join a Network Marketing Company” and decide for yourself if you think this is for you.
