The Start of my Aloe Vera Journey

When the Forever Living representative approached me about the business opportunity, I was left with a very cryptic message saying they had an exciting opportunity to share with me – and left it for about a week before getting back to me again…..the silence drove me insane!

My husband and I were a bit sceptical so we did some research, we found lots of negative reports about network marketing but we also found a lot of genuine information that supported the industry. We both knew that we liked the C9 and other Forever Living products, and so decided why not give a go, all we will have lost if anything does go wrong was the start-up fee and at less than £200 it wasn’t a major concern for us.

I met my sponsor in a coffee shop in Manchester on 1st July 2017, I didn’t know it then but my life was about to change. I sat nervously in front of this woman with an open mind and decided on the spot that I was going to give it a try, what did I have to lose? For less than £200 I got a load of the bestselling products and everything I needed to get the business up and running, I literally went home and signed up online straight away. Five days later this box was delivered and I was all set to go.

I started telling my friends and family about what I was intending to do, I was amazed at how supportive they all were, even people that I had been nervous to tell were amazing. Not once did anyone say to me (like I was kind of thinking myself) why on earth have you done that, you can’t possibly sell these products or make an actual business out of it! What amazed me the most was how so many people had heard of the company, the products and the network marketing industry, where the hell have I been for the last few years to have not known anything myself about it?!

I rang my sponsor (who lives in Tenerife) and said “right I have my box now what do we do?” We had a planning meeting and she told me about the products, and so many things that we needed to do over the next few weeks. I had a busy life still and when she said you need to host a launch party and invite lots of family and friends I picked a date that was 2 months later! She kept saying to me “why so far away?” and I gave her a whole load of excuses, all of which were totally genuine in my mind.

I somehow managed to get lots of interest in the products and I managed to achieve the first incentive that the company offers. I was up and running, there was no stopping me now!
